Audience research: Facebook poll

I found the Film responses very informative about the opinions of A-level college students, but I decided to take my own research further by asking my friends on Facebook three poll questions. I did this in order to gain audience feedback from a wider audience as my friends on Facebook are not just A-level college students, but students that study other courses, people who work and film fans.

The first question – What type of horror film do you prefer?
I gave three answers for my recipients to choose from so that the most popular would be clear to distinguish
Psychological and Thriller was the most popular with 8 votes out of 13
The second question – What do you think makes a good opening sequence in a film?
I gave four answers for my recipients to choose from with the option to add their own so that I can get a better idea of what to include in my own opening seqeunce.

The audience voted for one which creates suspense as what they think makes a good opening sequence with 9 votes out of 16
The third question – What would put you off a horror film?
I gave five answers for my recipients to choose from with the option to add their own so that I can get a better idea of what to include.

A simple story line and closing tying unrealistic story is what would put people off of watching a horror film, so I need to make sure that my production does not have these factors.

  1. Excellent work - but you need to include a summary of what these responses mean.
